Sauté Shrimp (Flambe)

- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 pounds shrimps
- 6 garlic cloves minced
- 1/3 cup Cognac
- Juice of one lemon
- ½ cup parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper
Step 01
Melt butter in a long-handled frying pan over medium heat. Add peeled and deveined shrimp to sauté for 1 minute.
Step 02
Remove from burner and carefully add 1/3 cup Cognac to the pan. Ignite with a long fireplace match and return to heat. Shake until flames burn down and go out. Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon and keep warm.
Step 03
Add garlic cloves and fresh lemon juice. Return shrimp to the pan and gently reheat only until a warm temperature . Do not overcook or the shrimp will become tough.season with salt and pepper.
Step 04
Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
