Classic Buttermilk Waffles

- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2/3 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 small eggs, whites and yolks separated
Step 01
Preheat the CHEF-BUILT Rotating Classic Waffle Maker.
Step 02
Whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda and salt all together until combined.
Step 03
Add the buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla and egg yolks to the dry mixture. Mix the combined batter until it is slightly lumpy.
Step 04
In another bowl, beat the egg whites until fluffy and then gently pour them into the batter.
Step 05
Pour just enough waffle batter in the maker to leave 1/2 inch from the edges. Then close the machine and cook the waffles to your preference.
